BD Module: LX5V-2RS485-BD

The LX5V-2RS485-BD is a 2-channel RS485 communication module designed for efficient and reliable data transmission in industrial automation and control systems. Installed on top of the PLC host, it supports multiple communication protocols, including Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, and user-defined protocols, along with the dedicated Wecon Modbus slave station protocol for PLC local communication.

Description

This module allows seamless data exchange between devices such as personal computers, barcode readers, and printers, using RS485 converters and data registers specified by the RS2 instruction. Additionally, it enables program uploading and downloading between a PLC Editor2 PC and the module via the dedicated protocol. With high noise immunity and long-distance communication capability, the LX5V-2RS485-BD is ideal for harsh industrial environments and is specifically designed for use with 5V series PLCs. For integration with 3V series PLCs, the LX3V-RS485-BD module is required.

Features

l LX5V-2RS485-BD is used for serial communication connection and installed on the top of PLC host.

l LX5V-2RS485-BD supports Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, user-defined protocol and dedicated protocol (Wecon Modbus slave station protocol, that is, PLC local protocol).

l Data transfer using user-defined protocol, through RS485 converter, data communication between various devices with RS232C unit, such as personal computers, barcode readers and printers. In this application, data is sent and received through the data register specified by RS2 instruction.

l Using dedicated protocol for data transfer, connect PLC Editor2 PC with LX5V-2RS485-BD to complete the uploading and downloading of the program.

✎Note: This manual is only applicable when LX5V-2RS485-BD is used together with 5V series PLC.Please refer to the LX3V-RS485-BD Manual for the use of LX5V-2RS485-BD with 3V Series PLC.
